All these companies produce both good & bad products, depends on what u want.

Sony -- style (** more expensive)

Canon -- good quality (on pro products, e.g. L lens, pro-1, G6 etc.) (** more expensive), most amateur products so so quality only

Nikon -- used to be good & famous in film photography equiment, high contrast lens, but DC quality so so only (**not DSLR), high end products very good, amateur products also very good (e.g. D50)

Olympus -- I have not used OM DC before, cannot comment, the last OM model is the very small SLR OM10 & XA film camera

I will buy Sony DSLR A100 as long as it is available
