Around 2000, I will pick Sanyo MZ3.

For 3000-4000, I think NIkon 4300 and S45 are good choice even a bit over budget.

Personally, I got a Casio QV-R4 (by the way, you can also check QV4000)

I said around ma.... actually I don't have update price for MZ3, but I think it ius a good 2MP DC.

Same as AZ3, seems like real good 4MP DC loaded with tons of functions.

MZ3 is a very good camera, with the better performance on video recording.
Actually,I decide to buy one but after I bought the CP5700...no money now.

Hi CCB & karic, it costs 2180 to buy MZ3 at DCC and it may be even cheaper at 英京 iwht a bit bargaining skill. I hv a 5700 as well but I seldom use it cos it s way slower than the smaller camers. And when you watch the movie by MZ3 on the TV, it s as gd as the DV which cost 10K. It s a funny world. You wdn't even buy a Sanyo rice cooker but God knows they do cheap & good DC. Heard tehy are producing good 2 1/2 G mobile phones as well. Hv to pay attn
