When viewing the properties under MS windows, why some DC's photo with 180dpi x 180dpi but some with only 72dpi x 72dpi (in same photo size such as 1600x1200).

1600x1200 is the photo resolution
72dpi or 180dpi is the output resolution

That mean you can take a photo by your DC using the 1600x1200 resolution. When you want to print the photo, you can set the output resolution to 72dpi, 180dpi or 300dpi ... that mean the size of photo you want to print

e.g.
set the output resolution to 180dpi, the print out size should be 1600dpi/180dpix1200dpi/180dpi = 8.9"x6.7"

set the output resolution to 300dpi, the print out size should be 1600dpi/300dpix1200dpi/300dpi = 5.3"x4"

Hi Honman,

Thanks for your answer. But the 180dpi x 180dpi was viewed when I right click the mouse under "properties" in MS window. This value cannot be set neither on the camera nor the computer.

你用right click 就當然冇得改啦, 人地都set左
180dpi x 180dpi張相應該好細下

用photoshop 整啦, 可以將View Size & Print Size 分開set 架嘛...
可以 pixel 不變, 但print size 變架, 咁dpi 自然跟住變啦..
