Please I would like to know how could I open the "raw" file format taken from my DC, I try Photoshop 6 and ask me to enter the resoluation, after the pic is all in Black lines.

Photoshop CS1 can open raw file of old DC but it is unable to open the one from new camera like 400D.

In that case you must use Photoshop CS2 and download the plugin from Adobe homepage.

By the way, raw file is not standardized among different cameras. Adobe intended to standardise it by Photoshop CS2+ plugin and you can save to a called digital negative format "dng".

Try third party RAW conversion software and transform and edit in photoshop 6.

It has trial copy to download and many latest DSLR like 400D or DC like LX-2 had distortion correction.
