I am using FX01 for a while and is quite satisfied overall speaking.

but I really need the Manuel function sometimes,
especially when I need to take some comparatively special photos and panorama pics

I am targeting LX2 as when I first saw it I am attrated by its looking
(ya I know this is stupid but human is emotional anyway-.-)

so I as a newbie wanna ask help from you all prof guys to give some suggestions, what else other than LX2 can I choose to meet the following need?

1) below $4000
2) got M mode
3) acceptable noise (well....i know panasonic is....anyway FX01 is acceptable-.-)
4) easy to use ( i means u can have most control in 1 or 2 buttons, not like the one I used before need to go to menu for everything)
5) accurate focus
6) using common flash memory SD/CF/MS

please let me know if I am unclear....

ps: can any one tell me where should I buy?
and whats the diff between water good and authentic good?
as it seems that that price diff is about 500 between them

上個月聽過lx2 水貨$3000左右. 另外水貨同行貨有時候很多時分別在保養維修(跟代理or 舖頭),义電電壓等, menu 方面應該都是英文介面. 如想清楚d 建議問番舖頭的職員.旺角先達, 旺電or 深水埗 都有水貨機發售.
除了你楝的lx2 外 ,我覺得fujifilm s6500fd or pentax ist dl kit set亦是好選擇. 因為既然有fx01, 咁可以試下用大部點的相機感受一下不同的感覺. s6500fd 符合你大部份要求(除o左佢係用xd card). pentax ist dl 雖然係dslr看似不能比較, 但佢符合你要求的6點 而價錢又是當好四千蚊, 有機會可以試下.

I use the LX2 brought it in Dec 06.
Excellent camera for the price, to achieve better quality, you need to pay alot more.

Noise is the only issue you will find, but for me, its ok because it adds reality to the photos, unlike some cameras where is "blurred" and "denoised" internally to make it smoother, in effect spoling the actual photo.

You can set any PASM modes, Saturation, Sharpness, Noise reduction and White balance manually + ISO.
