In general, which brand is better? in terms of photo quality, user friendliness, night shooting, len's quality, and etc..

Pls. advise as I am thinking of purchasing Canon G7 or Fuji S9600.

To be honest, how many people here have both G7 and S9600 or have they used both? If not, how can you trust them when they say A is better than B or B is better than A? Please think about that before asking any question like that. "Which one is better" is a very subjective question and you will never get your answer. Trust yourself, don't trust the passers-by.

Instead, you should ask yourself what do you need a digital camera for, since G7 and S9600 are two different animals in terms of size and zoom range.
