What are your propose? They are so much differents !

S10 = Smaller but with auto mode only, entry level, for no experience and someone that do not want to learn about the A/S/M ….
S3 IS = Bigger one with both auto/manual mode, medium level for someone who know / want to know A/S/M ….

Anti-Shake : S3 IS > S10 VR
Size : S3 IS < S10
Zoom Speed : S3 USM Len > S10
Focus Speed : S3 > S10

If you know about A/S/M, you must buy the S3 IS and you no need to ask,
So I think you may want to learn more about A/S/M, if yes, buy S3 IS, and your next camera will become DSLR.

As I know, the size of Nikon S10 is much bigger than Canon S3 IS.

No, Nikon S10 is lighter and smaller than Canon S3IS. I have tried both tonight. Canon S3 IS focusing is much faster than sharper than Nikon. However, Canon's button is not user friendly. Nikon is fully auto. Final decision maybe Canon S3 since focusing is faster but heavier..
