Is IS very important for tele len?

Which len is your recomment for me to buy ( with IS or without IS) ?

Besides the price, what are their weight?

70-200 4.0L IS wt : 760g
70-200 2.8L wt : 1310g

I brought 4.0L IS last week, because of the weight different, even you don't care about price it is too heavy to bring it all day long and you may leave it at home make it seldom to use.

By the way the IS is the latest one it can provide up to 4 stop, I can hold 200mm at 1/60" on a 1.6x Dslr without difficulty.

If you need f2.8 of course 2.8 is very good but you need to consider the weight.

四支小/小小白/is 我都考慮過.
結果買左小小白.
原因係,我用tele 主要係日光日白影人影境,
當然都諗過遇到暗既天氣,但我會用閃補光來推快門

還有200mm 快門有1/200理應不成問題....當然要睇你本身手唔手定?
對我來講3k買IS唔值得,因為主力用途上用不著...3k我買多支鏡好過...
或者辛苦d檯腳出街...

次次講親呢幾支鏡梗係好多人話怕重揀左支f4既,其實真係好可惜.差唔多間間相機廠商都一定將所有最好既野放晒落70-200 f2.8 IS度,對焦快,快門快,重量又足以長時間手持,配合高階機身又可以啓動所有十字對焦點.係動態攝影之皇,反之f4除左焦距一樣之外,所有以上優點都大打折扣.
除非諗住永遠唔會影動態野,否則冇理由唔揀f2.8.曾經就有人話買左支小小白IS去影乒乓球影唔掂.數碼時代好多人認為推高一級iso就可以代替大光圈,點知有時已經推到iso 1600都唔夠才後悔,而且細光圈對焦就係差小小唔夠快.

另外閃光燈代替唔到IS的,應該冇人會想背景黑晒.200mm的安全快門應是1/320s而不是1/200s.日光日白冇問題,室內是很難逹到此數值的.
