3A / 2A even rechargeable nickel metal hydride battery does not have the high current density for instant high power drainage in DSLR / DC.

At present only lithium or lithium ion can provide such requirement. [May be later direct-methanol-fuel cell can do]

If u don't believe u can use alkaline batteries insert into Kodak chicken model using AA battery, see see how long can it last?
