I am a beginner ... can someone give me some advice on these two models, I like them both can use AA batteries but don't know which one is better? Please help ... thanks!

揀A40 如果你要相靚,义電又平又耐用(1600mA的2A電),15秒捕光影夜景,可加不同的近攝鏡,廣角鏡(要加原廠接駁器)

揀RR30如果你要機身輕而細,近攝<16cm,三百萬像素CCD,鋰電/NiMH兼容,手動白平衡(但非手動有偏藍)

係呀!我在選擇A40和RR30時都看了很多DC網站上用家的評語,我發現一些用開SLR機的專家也揀A40作為他們的數碼玩具,可以質素一定不錯

If you have made decision of A40, try to go to DCC at Sin Tat Mall in MongKok. If they have A40 in stock, you can get it at once at around $1780 only. Remember to buy rechargeable batteries. I use Mitshubisi recharger package, go to Citicall and find it, only $105 come with a charger and four 1600 mA AA batteries. Buy some more in SSP, 4XSANYO 1850mA batteries $68.

Thank you Kelvin 1225 ... the Mitsubishi Charger is really cheap, is it good? I heard some charger cost about HK$300 ... any different?

For yr reference, I bought at SSP GP 1 hour x 8 pcs 1800mA total $280 on Ear Dec 2002. 4 pcs can over 120 sheets photo with LCD. But somebody said fast charge is not good!

SSP means Shum Shui Po (Ap Liu Street), I think.

Yes, ivywang, go to Ap Liu Street, you will find many treasure there.
For some expensive charger over $200, which the model is quick charger, say fully charge can be finished 5 hours or even 2 hours.

The Mitsubishi charger I bought, the model number is 21-2374A, you will need to charge around 16hours each time, but if you don't mind, it's good. I will automatically stop when the battery is fully charged.

I have not yet bought the A40 but will buy it before CNY ... I saw one in "Tin Yin" cost $1980 with 32mb card ... good deal or not?

Regarding charger, what's the difference between "quick" or "slow" charger, which is better?

In my experience, a standard charger is enough. Usually the time of charging is between 16 to 20 hours.
Just plug the charger on when I wake up in the morning and leave it till I sleep at night and that's all.
