I m considering whether buy the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 or Sigma 24-70 mm f2.8 macro !

Which focal range should I buy if use for portrait and taking fotos of views?

& which one's picture quality is better?

i believe 17-50 should suit your need if you mainly use for view and portrait

I used the Tamron about two week now ( $450 us). All the photos came out very good . You will need the 17mm for sure.

I am also considering these lens, one more choice for you.

Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 with macro function. This len is higher cost than those two lens, but I also like it. for the sigma 24-70, it is a good len for portrait but the weight is heavy and filter is big (82mm).

so, if I were you, I will buy 18-50mm (water goods) rather than 17-50mm.
what do u think?
