題目CanonA40 = 35-90mm ?!?     Post time: 2 月 16 日

My friend (the fresh A40 owner)

told me that after testing his new A40, he discover that the ZOOM of A40 is only about = 35 - 90mm :(

However, the official information claims that it is 35-105mm

Can anyone tell us the fact?!? ^.^

Is there any remarkable deviation on 'len zoom' even within the same model? (e.g. A40)

THX! ^.^

How did your friend test the camera? Compared with 35mm SLR? Or tested it with any optical equipment?

I am not an expert. However, as I know, the data of xx mm - yy mm is only applicable when the subject is at infinity. If your friend test the camera with non-infinity subject, the lens may not be 35-105mm.

Just like the AF Nikkor 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 D, as far as I remember, the lens is about 38-180mm when the focus is set at minimum distance.
