The lens is still the same lens, how could it become worse? The problem is I guess you try to compare the quality of film and digital image, which the digital image quality depends on the body.

little bit slower, but still by any means not a slow lens if you talk about the LB3, which is much faster than the previous versions.

I've tried using LB1 on my D70 I find the focusing speed to be adaquate.

so I suppose the LB3 will be even better.
