D7i is a good camera with manual zoom + focus ring, and have a lot of typical function. The color is quite good, and its response is quite fast. The worst thing is the noise problem. And that is also the problem let me think for a long time.

Now, I bought D7Hi, and I think it is a good camera, and I think u better also buy a flash, since its internal flash is weak and affect also the white balance (since it assume the flash enough...)

Also, try to download NeatImage, quite good software to reduce noise. And I like to use ISO200 rather than ISO100, since the noise level is almost the same.
