我用過S40和S45, 並不太覺得S40有什麼問題,
至於不停咁出新款, 呢個係CANON的市場策略,

S45 using a new digital processor. It claimed to be faster!
I owned S30. It is ok! and enough for entry level. But if you dont want to miss important shot. Try another camera. Because S30 take about 2 seconds to process the save (for 3.2 M pixel) photo. I use the highest resolution to take all the photo!
It should be faster under lower resolution!
