I urgently need your help!

I am using 500D. Are the photos in RGB format or CMYK format?

I need to make a banner for my daughter's party, and I noted most banner shops require CMYK and NOT RGB, so how to convert?

I am using Photocap and I have Photoshop CS3 (but not familiar with it).

轉cmyk時, 最好做埋under color removel, 如果唔係, 印出來d野會好厚墨, 怪怪地

I am first using Photocap to make the banner. The output file can be JPG or PCL (PCL file can be opened by Photocap and do modification when needed).
If I save as JPG, can I still

Photoshop 可以 RGB ＜＝＞CMYK

Image >> Mode >> RGB Color 或 CMYK Color

可以，無關係的，只是檔案size大D。

I just tried it for both TIF and JPG, both OK.

When I convert to JPG in photocap, the file size is much smaller than I convert to TIF.

I noted my photo and the hello kitty GIFs inserted in the banner remain unchanged (I mean the color) after I change to CMYK mode. But the background color of my banner changed from deep pink to purple.

And 轉cmyk時, 最好做埋under color removel, 如果唔係, 印出來d野會好厚墨, 怪怪地

因為4色印刷, 紙張不能承受400%油墨關係, 多數人會用GCR/UCR, 將CMY加埋o既中性灰轉為k

用開photoshop, 去edit=>convert to profile, destination cmyk度揀custom cmyk, 咁你就可以控制GCR/UCR

經驗上，Output file 未必需要用under color removel，如果印出來好厚墨呢個問題，Output 有責任幫客戶去對色...，否則如必要，先要同間廠夾點去調整張相。
