Nikon 4500 is a good DC except slow focusing that is not good for taking pictures for kids. The menu is not as user-friendly as G3 but more functions than G3. The body of 4500 is similar to F3, very durable. Quality of photos is no big difference - both are very good.

In fact, cp4500 Marco much better than G3
But others are not better than G3 (in genera)

um.....very subjective. It is a very useful design that is similar to G2/3 especially when you take pictures at low/high levels (for baby, for example). Other models have no this kind of LCD such as S50, IXUS, Coolpix 3100, C50Z...
