If only the LCD shows the dead spot, never mind la, it doesn't affect the image, and the output. (But it may affect your mood, right?)

For the problem of under exposure. If this is consistent, never mind, so you can adjust yourself, such as +1 the exposure compensation all the time. If u do mind, or the inaccuracy of exposure is inconsistent, take it to Canon for fixing la.
