Consider to buy either Canon S50 or Olympus C740/750. Please advise which is better.

Mainly for Snap shot and short video.

C750 is better because it has 10x optical zoom and can take sharp photos. The price of water good also
cheaper.

C750 is heavier than S50? Seems that S50 is more suitable for girl, right?

Here are the other ideas for your choice:
Olympus 740 & 750 use xD card for storage. This is a very expensive card. You may consider to use 256Mb or 512Mb for daily use. At least, 128Mb for occasional use.
10X optical zoom is hard to be used. you may use with tripod or well supported. otherwise, the image would be distored by hand shaking.

I knew someone who bought a 740, however, the XD card is expensive.
10X zoom need to use tripod to avoid hand shaking, right?
How about S50 using CF card which is relatively cheaper...
