Everytime I start to take photo, the photo counter reset.
It causes problem when I download the photos to my computer.
I have to open a new folder.

After one year, I have more than one hundred folder for the same kind of photos.

If the auto-reset function of the photo counter could be disable, all the photos could be in one single folder.

Of course, to avoid over-writing, I can change the photo file name one-by-one but it is not wise to do so.

You cannot disable the auto-reset function but you can (1) fool the DC (2) leave the last taken photo there (3) delete the other photos.

In this case, the DC will count starting from the left photo.
