.... of course i like to get one la! hmmm.... i think a nicely kept 2nd hand will do the same job as a brand new lens. so, it's practical to save some dollars! although the cost may include missing a shooting season~

Tai Hung ching，你知我买支二手 S150 挞左Q，想问你：

我吴买 S150(non-OS)，买 EF100(non-L)。
你话好吴好？

1）2支放大倍率都系 1:1，打和。
2）S150 影怕丑虫虫既 working distance 大d，但系我预计自己影微距，或会较少影虫，可能影死物，例如手表，或者多d。所以working distance 未必系最重要既考虑因数。
3）我想节省翻买少支 85F1.8。---> 所以我希望呢支微距镜有一半时间可以比我用黎当定朝影 bb 人像。S150 长 d 可能 bokeh 会更滑更靓（系吗？），但比我用既朝距 = 225mm，实在超过左人像沟通距离。EF100（朝距 = 160mm）会近翻d，可用机会或者就可以多好多。
4）我想拣一支 sharp、靓色 d 既镜，你知道边支有比较明显优势吗？（请勿诱惑我买 180L，不在budget 之内）。
5）呢2支野，二手价基本上系差吴多。
6）一手价我反而吴清楚，但我都系买二手既姐。

百微我未用過呀，未出100L之前好多人都用佢，而且口悲唔錯，如果你影死物為主，應該係唔錯既選擇，至於打蝶就勉強夠用，我都係FF+150,但係你會經常嫌短，所以有D Ching 寧願唔要5DII要7D or 1d4, 不過百微係取代唔到85 .8 的！

譬如目标系遇着d 摆好晒 pose 任影吴"闹"既虫虫，100呢支中短朝距Macro 会吴会影到 S150 甘靓呢？....其实3心2意，左唸右唸... 我唸都系吴理边支都好，都系整支返黎玩左至算

just found some research that tells me some useful tips (many ching's already can handle it without even noticing it).

at 1:1 magnification, taking 100mm lens as an example:
the depth of field while using F8 is 1mm.
the depth of field while using F32 is 4mm.

hence, F8 sounds not very usable for taken insect photos.

extra information that i feel interesting~!

using F32 in macro is different from using F32 in normal photography, cos the light will be much less as if it is 2 stops smaller, similar to using F64 in normal photography. the amount of light entering is not the concern here. the diffraction problem is! using F32 is greatly reducing the sharpness due to diffraction problem.

well.... F8 is not right, F32 is not right... afterall, it counts on your experiences to get those superior pictures...
