我有5d3 新sport 版支sigma120-300 f2.8 加canon 2x 3代有600 mm f5.6 如果換支sigma 800 5.6 會唔會反而重難影呢……請有經驗高手只一點l小弟

I used 100-400 on aps-c five years ago. Sometimes 400 (640 equivalent) is not enough. Sometimes, 100mm (160 equivalent) is too close.
I can say that, if you bring alone your 120-300, also bring a 50mm with you. Sometimes the animal can be only 10 feet apart

去肯雅影野生動物跟在動物園影動物完全是兩回事，動物出現的位置同距離都可能完全是你意料之外，並且可能差别很大，所以好難講支鏡焦距够長定係過長，同意樓上師兄建議，多帶支短焦應付較近距離的拍攝。

要更方便快捷去應付這種環境，我想起那支S50-500 OS，不過那重量也要考慮。

Weight is not a big concern at Kenya if you are 90% of time on the safari van. Bring a self-made bean bag.

以我去肯雅的經驗, 用天涯鏡如28-300mm、 50-500mm比較好,因為動物出現的距離和時都難以估計, 見過一隻獵豹離我很遠, 約60-70米, 500mm都係緊緊是夠, 又試過一隻獅子從車的後面走上前, 相距約4米。

在肯雅有許多美麗的雀鳥, 不過我影唔到。

動物出現的時間可能短, 可能長, 不一定有時間讓你換鏡頭。

Since you have at least two big cannon, why not spend just few thousand dollars on an aps-c camera say 70D. You won't want to change lens in journey, as you mind will quickly remind you the song " Dust in the Wind"

其實支sigma 800 5.6 我未買！/但有D想、trade}了支120-300 換去肯亞用、但聽}了各ching 說d range好難如計……又好似好難取寫！我上}youtube看D鬼老好多拿大炮去影、有800.600.400 所以先問下各好友意見！

Some scientists stay there for years, therefore they know what they are targeting on, different range for different animals. If you are just an ordinary traveller like I do, a tele zoom lens would be more easier to accommodate the need.
Further more, the sunset is wonderful there, take wide lens with you.
If you take the balloon ride, don't just bring the wide lens on board, tele lens in this situation could surprise you.
