Even I now use DSLR, I will not crazily press the shutter.

All depends on your photo-taking attitude:
(1) to choose the best picture in thousands of photos hoping that there must be one best photo; or
(2) to think thoroughly before pressing the shutter.

Although different situation should use different attitude, I am glad that I started to take photo from the film era, and I have developed the "correct" attitude in taking photos.

I always teach my students: think before you press the shutter, unless the situation does not allow time for you to think.
