Convenience dosen't mean good image. D40 is not a good body as well. At least u can't use those lens without motor. For sure, D90 is not worth to buy if u dun need video function. Think of D80 seconds with warranty.

I suggest D700+18-35/ED, high value of money!!!

I use TWO D40X+18-55VR & 55-200VR for travelling, no need exchange lens AND the weigh of the 2 bodies + lenses are still very light. Also the battery of D40X is very light AND powerful to take over 500 photos without flash

At least u can't use those lens without motor (This only depends on whether you have AF lens or not). For sure, D90 is not worth to buy if u dun need video function.
