Photography is an ART and is rather subjective. I do very much respect the profession of photography, I mean REAL photographers.

The sad thing in today's world is that people don't really need to know the basis before one can PRODUCE an impressive PICTURE. As long as they can get a good result from photoshop, the general public will think they are "professional photographers".

You and I understand the differences between a professional photographer and someone who can produce good pictures. Unfortunately, people nowadays tend to mix up the facts and determine based on "results".

There are always good and bad impact for all the new invention. The digital age and PS changed the photography world.

The fundamental of photography shouldn't be changed at all, Shutter, Aperture, Film Speed (ISO nowaday). But seems like lots of the new generation try to use PS to override the first 3 element.

Digital world bring us lots of convenience. As a professional photographer, I love the fact that I can look at the result immediately. But just simply looking at the majority photo sample shared on forums at intensely touched up by PS ...

Some new entrant so-called photographer do shoot-and-burn and charged extremely low price for the job is somehow giving the society a wrong impression about the profession as well.

I guess for the remaining real professional photographer, we all need to keep out standard high and to maintain a price point. As we can't sustain our living once we start fighting the low end market with the shoot-and-burners. Use our service and product quality to educate the customer in a longer term.

常聽人說"我是一名專業攝影師"，我覺得他們憑什麼說這句話？是不是每個人拿台DSLR在手就可以叫'專業'？如果專業沒有一個標準的話；它已沒有意義！
