If you like the above photos, I guess it's more to do with lighting and texture.

In fact I did lots of preparation work on lighting for this photo when I take the shoot.

In terms of PS, I just did a simple conversion into B&W and then add back a bit of orange in this colour tone.

Yes, see that you must have put alot of effort on the lighting work. Was the background light nature or by your lighting setup?
By the way, how do you add the orange colour tone after conversion to B&W?

In terms of lighting, it's a 3 light setup in the church. I setup one light at the far back right hand side of the church to light up part of the background in the church. Some natural light from the window as well.

and then one in the front and behind the couple to light up the veil.

In terms of the PS B&W conversion. What PS version your using? If you are using LR3, there is a split tone setting, you can add in whatever colour tone you like in the photo =D

I didn't realize that you have a light behind the couples

I have Lightroom but nearly didn't use it
I mostly use CS2, but not very good on it
Didn't know that there is a function Split Tone
Let me try it at home sin

The light behind the couple is just using as a fill light to light up the veil. =D

I am not 100% sure about CS2. But I believe you can create a brown or orange colour layer to create similar effect as well.

Please don't mind, the only thing that is not good in your photo is the hand of the bridegroom. Looks like he hasn't had his hand washed after work. If photoshop is used, that problem could be easily fixed.

Fixed up on the latest version of this photo already.

Also a couple of touches like the fan on the left and some books on the right hand side is also removed =D

Of course I don't mind any comment on the photos =D that's the only way for a photographer to improve.

I realise there is a problem with the LR3, sometimes after the filters and paint brush work, I have a feeling some setting was changed on Export. I need to spend more time to make sure if it is correct.
