Sony should be given credit for advancing the innovation. But its first commercial application in the 828 is, in my view, a failure. If Sony's marketing people are getting way ahead and screwing their engineering counterparts, then Siny is well deserving the a hard lesson generated by the bad responses to the 828.
Now Sony just has to pick itself up and show us its real colors. Show us what true innovator it can still be by perfecting this 4 color CCD innovation. If Sony now becomes a hugh company being run by a bunch of greedy marketers cum bean counters trying to milk the good will it has established in the past thru numerous innvoative products, then its days are numbered.
