I live in Vancouver, B C and I never own a digital camera before. I am planning to buy one. In North America, I found most digital cameras with Japanese brand names are 99% made in China. I found most of them are cheap looking in finishing (eg. unaccepting chrome, poor seamings and sometimes in cheap blister card just like plastic toy. By appearance I cannot be convinced that it is a hi-tec product but asking for Japanese -made price.Can any one advise me which models of Canon, Nikon, Casiso ( ranging from 300mg to 500mg) are still made in Japan - Thank you.
