Hi guys, after a year of searching and half year of saving, I finally got my first ever 350D. Right now, I think I need to buy something for the camera.

1) I want to buy a bag so I can keep it in a good form and place. Any suggestion? I prefer shoulder bag and not too expensive ($300)

2) A memory card (CF)? I have a 1 GB Kingston card for my Powershot S50. A spare 128 Sandisk and a 32Mb Canon card. What should I buy next or should I stay in current status?

3) Dry box for the camera - I saw something small made of Plastic that sells for around $300-$400 in DC fever, would that be ok?

Right now, I just try to read through the manual and get started.

sorry that I can't help. I hope you can get one which is comfortable and provides good protection ^_^

a) if you're going to take photos in RAW format, 2GB card seems a must.

b) high transfer speed (>50x) is preferred. (price, Kingston CF 1GB standard is about $420, but Kingston 1GB CF elite is about 500 only !!)

you may refer to the newest "PC Mxxxet" P.83, that one is good.

* you may consider to buy 1 additional battery too.

1. I need to buy a bag for the camera as soon as possible. THe bigger it gets (compare to my Powershot S50), the more protection is needed.

For battery, I think I am in good shape since i already have three NB 2L (one Canon and two subs batteries) for my S50, and now they provide a NB 2LH for 350D, so I have 4 batteries now. I don't think I need to buy any more unless anybattery dies.

2. For the card, right now I have a piece of 32MB (canon), 128 Mb Sandisk and the 1GB Kingston for my S50. The 32MB is now spared or sometimes put into my Pocket PC. The 128 Mb saves photos only I want to take to shop to print out. What is the speed of Kingston 1 GB elite? Compare to Sandisk, which brand is better?

3. Oh I didn't buy the latest edition of PC Market :(

4. I saw they sell it in package (a pen, a air pump, a cloth and a bottle of liquid cleaner) for lens, are those good? I think they sold for not more than $70?

I absolutely agree above poodlebb 's following saying:

It is the unchanged facts that the Body model is "unlimited" and cannot take account into its marketing price to its performance. Just only enough to use is OK. The photo's performance is depended on how much creative you have, the structure of photos, the usage of techology and the "Heard" you have. And the main point is depend on the lens you used. Do not too focused on the "model", should be focused on "Lens". Trust me. Now, I am using EOS 350D+17-40mm4L+430EX-----Always have happy photography
