I have been using Nikon D40 for a year, want to upgrade to a higher level.

I have 2 options in my mind

Canon 40D

Nikon D200

Both are of similar price now.

Any advice?

Besides, does anyone know how much I can sell for my Nikon D40 kit?

suggest to go with d200, u got the kit lens 18-55ii i suppose, this lens works well with d200 also (i have a 18-200, but planning to get a 18-55 to safe weight)
the d40's price dropped a lot already, suggest you keep it for yourself, after-all its still a very good camera. and light-weight also...... i usually bring along my fuji s7000 instead of d200, very tire to carry 2kg stuffs when go shopping........

but y not d300,....... i wouldn't using my d200 now if they have d300 in stock 3 months ago..... :( damn.......

I will go for D300 or D200 But It seems that D300 really outperforms D200 a lot based on the review from the website. How about the price? Any big difference between D300 and D200 body now?

:( not only the performance, the d300 price also out run the d200 for a great distance.... sounds like its 12000 for d300, the d200 should be around 8k+
if budget is not a problem, go with the d300 lah.....
