If using P mode, let the person with some distance to you and then zoom the lens with 200mm or above.
Suggest to use A mode, set the max F stop (F 2.8) and zoom the lens with 200mm or above, you will get what you want.

Thank you Roy but focus setting, one point focused or three point or whatsoever how about the setting of exposure, using the multiple, centre weight or spot mode, any influence for make clear image and blurr background?

thks anyway but there's a problem for fz-20, if using A-mode or centre exposure, display on screen is hard to see or even all black, any suggestions?

Hahaso,
Actually, I'm saying the display screen will get darker which I can't see the object clearly, especially in night time or place where light is not enough. any suggestion? and it's difficult to focus if making 淺景深 maybe I don't know how to use, pls. teach how to make easier.
