我想問吓各位師兄會用呢兩枝鏡影咩多 同埋呢兩枝鏡多數會用叛係咩句場合呢

If you have a FF,

1. 17-40 f/4 USM, for landscape mainly, Distortion is too bad at 17mm, most likely you wouldn't use for protrait. I use this lens at 20mm or up.

2. 70-200 f/4 USM, for protrait and wedding. Very common on wedding for candids.

咁啱我有呢兩支，咩場合唔係問題，影得就影。

例如有一次我以為距離會好遠，帶左 300mm 而冇帶70200，唔通收工咩，咪照影囉。

不過知道有大場面，1740帶硬。

影人既話 係咪呢兩枝都會有唔同既效果呢?

If use 14-40mm to do protrait, the face and body will become wider. Especially, at the egde, almost impossible to use for protrait. Unlese you like the widen effect. Go to Canon CS and try the lens, you will have a better idea. And the DOF for 14-40mm is not as shallow as 70-200mm, so it is harder to get a nice boken. When you shoot with 14-40mm, you also need to get vey close to your model. You will get a very big nose in your photo. (some japanese photographers argue that it is a trendy way to shoot fashion model, they like to use 50mm or below to do the cover page. Sometime you can find this kind of example, in JJ, Mini, etc) Also a lot of people will get uncomfortable when you get that close.
