This is a lens that has its fair share of optical shortcomings. At large apertures vignetting is heavy, purple fringing is visible, focal plane is not straight, and corners are not sharp. However, the lens also offers many strengths that simply cannot be measured by scientific tests. It shines especially at portrait shots, where it makes the subject pop out while also gives the skin a pleasant glow. Color is warm and pleasing at all apertures. Bokeh is beautiful and creamy even under very busy background (i.e. trees and branches).

If you need an optically perfect lens then you should get the M.Zuiko 75mm F1.8 which is technically flawless. On the other hand, the Voigtlander 17.5mm will render your pictures with some unique characters such that when you look at them you would recognize that they are taken by this beautiful lens.

手動鏡，對焦難 (雖然我唔覺得係缺點)

要wide，要淺景深，17.5/0.95係不二之選，而且做到20/1.7做唔到既淺景深，主體同背景抽離既立體感，就係此鏡價值所在。不過，如果覺得20/1.7夠用既話，就唔需要考慮用此鏡。
半級光圈調較方便，1.4-2.0夠sharp，效果唔錯。
手動鏡，加上淺景深，對焦難，未必適合一般用家，但自由度大，同AF唔同玩法。
