the writing speed of SD is increasing as Extreme Series is available. I wonder if the max writing speed of SD card exceeds the writing the speed of the camera, then there is waste if we buy the highest grade SD card. But I have checked the manuel of my canon camera 450D but I can't find the max writing speed of the camera. Anyone can tell me the max writing speed of 450D?

for 450D the continuous mode is 3.5 fps. I use the largest picture specification. When I use low end SD card, 4GB SDHC class 4, the buffer runs out so that I have to wait and cant take more pictures. I am considering to buy Extreme III or later version to maximize my camera speed.

but i have a very strange experience...
i have two SDHC cards..
one is 4GB class 2 and the other is 4GB class 6
when i write files on the class 6 card on computer...
it is much faster than the class2 card...(6.XX mb/s vs 2.XXmb/s)
however...when i use the class 6 card on my 450D
the writing speed of the class 6 card is much slower than the class 2 card
the class 6 card work perfectly on computer...but i don't know why it is much slower when use with 450D..
it takes nearly 30sec for 3 raw pics..
even i format the card for several times..it give the same result

One thing to mention. When i use Jpeg format, I can take more than 20 photos by continous mode. But I prefer raw format.
