17-40 becomes a standard lens in APS-C, you may find it is not wide enough, but may be good for portait...

其實兩支都有問題, 10-22影風景VERY GOOD, 但影人像怪及變形, 17-40影風景不夠WIDE,但影人像又不滿不足

For 5D2, it is really wide..... just same effect as if I picked 10-22 for my 60D.

Do you have camera lens which min is 24 or 28mm?

I am using 550D, so I think is similiar to yr 60D, I have 17-40.
但好少用, 因為當初買只是因為17-40是最平的L鏡, 我本是想用17-40L當標準鏡使用, 但用在550D上, 可能17-40沒有IS及只有F4.0, 所以到晚上或室內拍攝時, 成功率比較低.
以及, 我主要是拍我女, ZOOM到40MM真的到夠近, 我要跟她跑來跑去, 現在轉用了EFS17-55 F2.8 近半年, 番看相片, 17-55的相片的確比17-40的好很多.

我現在用550D/Tokina 11-16 f2.8/EFS 17-55 F2.8/Sigma 70-200 F2.8/580EXII

其實, 我都有一支SIGMA 24-70 F2.8, 我用他主要是他比24-70L平很多, 及CANON用家一般都會覺得CANON拍出來的照片比較淡, 但SIGMA鏡配CANON拍出來的照片比較鮮(帶有味精), 及SIGMA 24-70可給我有菲林味的感覺

Hi biggods,

I understand your situation so you always carry your 550D with 17-55 around.

I have sigma 50 f/1.4 and 70-200 f/4 L. Since 50mm is very bad, not quality, just cannot capture more than 3 ppl with a reasonable distance (object and camera). That's why I want to buy a camera lens for capturing more ppl in a pic.

vng_01 ching, I just use the 50/1.8 tocover the mid range, you have my album and you can see there is no mid range photos... or I just get closer to the object with my 17-40

其實, 我平日喜歡用SIGMA 24-70配550D,
550D配EFS17-55, 的確拍出來的照片SHARP,GOOD, 但拍的久, 我開始覺得過SHARP, 太重數碼味.
550D配SIGMA 24-70,雖然拍出來的照片沒有17-55的SHARP, 但24-70的焦距的確很好, 可以說是KING OF SNAPSHOT,
