我睇左好多文章D ching話支17-85 lens 不太好, 但我想問一下玩過這支lens
的ching 這支lens 如果同同們支kit 18-55 IS 和18-200 IS 相比下會還差,
還是差不多, 還是會好些呢? 因小弟支龍仔17-35 死左 ( 傷心中) 現想找支
"筆直" 不用太多的lens再戰. 因17-85支lens二手價真係幾給引, 所以問下各位

呢支鏡我用左兩年，只可以話一係支焦段非常實用ge鏡頭。分辦率差，色水偏灰而且廣角端變形問題非常嚴重，如果講求質素ge用家應該接受唔到。
試過用朋友支18-55IS,平得黎(平到笑)效果又差唔多(雖然無USM對焦慢少少)，如果筆直有限可以考慮。

I have this lens with me for four year now......
It is still very good condition.........
the zoom range is very useful
But the aperture seems a bit small..........but if you use flash in indoor and not dark outdoor, the lens is already good enough with its IS compensation
The usm is very useful, the focus is okay fast in this lens

before changed to prime lens, 17-85 is the always on camera lens together with 50 1.8

picture quality @wide end is very poor, even step down to 8 does not improve much, the chromatic aberration is much larger than 18-200@wide, but after 24mm, the 17-85 is ok good for general purpose

yes obi ching was right... this lens is not so good from 17-20 (IMHO)
CA, distortion is significant
but after 20, the image is okay sharp, less CA....
very good for general purpose of this lens
