Dear C-Hing,

I just bought 7D today and found that when I press half shutter, the flash has some dee....dee..... sound and fast flashing before I press the shutter, is it normal??? Sometimes, it doesn't has dee.....dee..... sound and without fast flashing before pressing the full shutter. Thank you!!!

Hi whoami2000

I have similar sound once: when I try to set in “group flash” with "build in flash mistakenly as slave" and external 580 EX II as master, it sound as you described. Once I set it correctly it does not come again.
I hope you may have similar seting problem. :)

Yes, it's normal. You can disable the pre-flash in the menu.

你於較黑環境下focus，個internal flash係會 dee dee聲 and flash 會高速閃數十下 until focused.

you can disable that function in the function menu
