Does anyone know how to unlock the new version 4 gb microdrive which make it can be used in the DSLR camera like 300d, tks.
I formatted the card with Fat32 through the pc, but it still didnt recognize the card on my cameras n even thru the PCMCIA slot in pc, why, please comment.

I read from some other website and sounds like the what so call 'Locked' card means the microdrive is set to IDE mode when it leave the factory. Those 'Unlock' card means the microdrive is either set to Flash mode or I/O mode. To setup different mode of the microdrive is depending on the pin setting (inside the microdrive I guess). If that's the case, then no matter how many times you try to format it or no matter how many different media you try to format it, if the card is original in IDE mode, thatn it'll still stay in the IDE mode, there's no way you can change it to Flash mode or I/O mode. Not very sure on this, but that's what I read from one website, hope this help.
