Hi,

I just upgraded my DSLR to Canon 60D not long ago. Now, I have Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L and Sigma 50mm f/1.4. I am not a serious photographer, but I am very picky on the image quality. My budget is below $4,000.

I have checked few lenses Tokina 12-24 f/4, Tokina 16-50 f/2.8 and Tamron 17-50 f/2.8. However, I could not make any conclusion. If there is not cost limitation, everybody must suggest me to buy Canon L lens.

Please, give me recommedation! I still miss one lens for my collection.

I used to have 17-70 f/2.8-4.5, but sold it already.

Let's talk about my old collection. I used to have to following camera lenses.

1. Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4.5
2. Canon 50 f/1.8
3. Tamron 18-270 f/3.5-6.3
4. Canon Rebel 450D

All sold.

And Now I have

1. Canon 60D
2. Canon EF 70-200 f/4L
3. Sigma 50 f/1.4

Budget FAIL:
I am very picky on the image quality. My budget is below $4,000.

hahahaha...... If it was easy to meet my budget, I already made my decision. But I won't buy 15-85mm. 17-55mm is too too too too expensive. ^_^

It's seemed you haven't tried the super wide,
how about the 10-22mm,
you may have another world from it.

Yes...... You are so smart. I am thinking of wide angle lens, but Canon 10-22mm is expensive so I try to see Tokina 12-24mm. Since I don't know if I really like it and tried to look for 1st generation of this lens. It really hard to find it for Canon in stores.

Sorry for 叮噹仔. I just check 17-55 f/2.8 is not that expensive for 2nd hand product. Since I don't have experience to deal with 2nd hand product, my default setting is brand new camera lens.

1. DPP support the correction on distortion for 10-22mm,
2. 60D also support the correction on dark corner too.
3. 10mm is wider than the 12mm
4. re-sell price for 10-22mm is a bit higher

I will pay a bit more investment for 10-22mm becasue of the above benefits.
