I had Canon 50 1.4 lens and used it more than 2 years. Therefore, I considered to buy a new 40-60mm lens. There are a lot of choices in the market and lens below are my considered choices

1. Canon 50 1.2 (Borrowed from friends, it is a wondeful lens with good quality, it's DoF is surely the best)

2. Sigma 50 1.4 (It has very high price utility ratio, however, the resale value is so-so)

3. Contax 50 1.4 (I had one before, could create good quality pictures, however, it is too light for 5DII)

4. Leica R 60mm 2.8 (I still have it, the quality is superb, however, the apenture is 2.8 only)

5. Carl Zeiss 50 f.2 (Finally I bought this one, because of wonderful quality and T* colour, also it has 1:2 marco that enhancing the usage of the lens)

For sharing, I took a set of pics by using ZE 50 1.2 + 5DII. Wish you like my creation and have more insight from my comments on those lens.
