想問師兄們 Canon EF 70-200 F4L IS USM 值5值得買？影出黎嘅 PQ 同Canon EF 70-200 F2.8L IS II USM 會5會差好遠?

70 200 f4 with macro (don't know if it is IS or not)
if you are not hurry to use
I suggest you wait for the announcement of that new lens
at least the LLWIS will drop the price

Before I bought my 70-200mm, I had the same question but got my answer quickly.

My thought and understanding was :

70-200mm f 4 IS : Use on daytime and outdoor only. Light in weight and easy to carry. Looks "cool" . Best mobility. Less boken with f4. Cheaper. Best one in f 4 zoom.

70-200mm f 2.8 IS II : Use on daytime and dim evening time, outdoor and indoor environment. Heavy in weight and hard to carry. Looks big and not "cool". Low mobility. Need to us mono-pod. Most beautiful boken with f 2.8 among all zoom lens. Expensive. But wealth to own it as it is the best of the best in f 2.8 zoom.

Since I like to photo both outdoor (kids football & tennis) and indoor ( school ceremony and church), with occasionally tele view with 1.4x, and I am old and not cool, slow with great passion (heavy is not a problem with monopod), always struggling for the best picture quality but not second tier, I choose "All or Nothing", i.e. 70-200mm f 2.8 IS II..
