I found the 3.9 FPS are just fit for my shooting style no matter shooting bird in flight or sporting. I had my 40D before shot with 6FPS in BIF, actually I just need the first 2 bursts.

This is very subjective, some people like "spray and pray", some will like "one shot one kill". It depends on your shooting style or need.

In real world shoot I would suggest you to take a note on the black out time of the mirror, 5D2 is a bit longer than other camera.
