I think only 17-40 is not enough. If only consider one lens for all I will choose 24-105 on your 5D2, the IS on the 24mm will rock!

unless you are so serious on portrait+landscape, otherwise I don't think the flash is needed for this trip..... after you saved up the space for a flash and batteries, another lens say 24-105 could be with you la

You should bring the tripod and if possible 24-105, remember "landscape" is not only in "wide angle" and your photos will become "bore" if all of them only come from ultra wide to wide. Frankly if I have no choice but a prime lens I will choose 50mm instead of 24 or shorter.

On the other hand, the IS feature is very important (no matter in wide angle) for low light landscape when using tripod is difficult or impossible (it always happen in the trip)

If you don't have a small DC to capture 團友既花絮 or something like this, you will need a flash of cos

我四年前都去過九寨溝,當年係新年去,跟團(康x).

每個溝大約有10~20min比你影相,所以你唔夠時間落腳架的.果度地勢好高,正常情況下陽光一定充足.

FF機帶17-40影景一定夠用la.但你要預天氣凍會影響電池.

九寨溝很靚,係我去咁多次旅行中,覺得最值得去既地方.

祝師兄影很多靚相.
