Canon 在9月中出了一部PowerShot G10..但係好多人都講新機一定要試得清楚d..麻煩都要..有d人試左5部,5部都有死點,Canon廠方又話個mon好靚.d色的質素出色..但係在QC方便一般...另外,分分鐘可能又話出G10 MarkII..因為Canon 5D都出MarkII..如果大家有內幕消息請通知聲...

You are quite mistaken about the marketing strategy of launching of "Mk II".

The launching of Mk II is not supposed to be a minor patch-up. It should be taken as a facelift or a new model altogether, but retaining a reputable model name or number. Thus 5D is followed by 5D MkII about 2 years later, 1D followed by 1D MkII, then 1D MkIII about 2 years later. Both are topsellers of Canon's lineup.

However, G7 was not followed by G7 MkII, instead, Canon just moved on to G9 about 12 months later, which is followed by G10.

Whatever quality problems or spec insufficiency the first batch is suffering, they will not rename the model upon the launch of a facelift model for DC, they will simply move on to a newer model number, supposedly G11, but that should not appear until late 2009 the earliest, or mid 2010 more realistically.

Lastly, it is unlikely that Canon would launch a "MkII" so soon after the launch of a model, just to rectify some minor production flaw, as this would be a serious slap on the face of their quality control.

BTW, my G10 has not got any hot pixel or dead pixel. Maybe I was lucky.

應該唔會出 Mk II 啦... 果時 G9 都話出 Mk II, 最後都變左 G10.

where can i find the G10 with dead pixels? Is that shop keep all G10 with problems which was returned by customers? I will remember and will not go there again.
