我唔係高手. 配鏡其實要睇你用途. 高手推薦: 鏡頭一般最大/最小值(比例), 不超過3. 如70-200這類頭質量好有保證.

我也用450d, 入佐支sigma 17-70, 同50/f1.8, 人像及風景感覺基本夠用.
若對畫質要求較高. 不建議用這類'一鏡走天下'的頭...

一分錢一分貨, 天涯鏡出名畫質無保證, 難得依家原廠出支有番d質素o既天涯鏡, 真係咁想一鏡走天涯o既可以諗諗~

Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS it not very good lens when compare with the 18-55IS kit lens (the IS version is much better the non-is version in terms of picture quality)

I use the non-os one for many years, the centre sharpness is just ok, the border sharpness is very poor, its quality is only acceptable when step down to f8 or f11 when shooting below 24mm, the lens is ok above 50 mm

if u want higher quality, don't waste $ on sigma or tamron 18-200 or 250 etc.

also on APS-C sensor, 28-300 is not wide enough!

better buy a 55-250IS with your 18-55IS

Even I am not the expert but I think if that is not really urgent to get a new lens. Suggest you to wait for the new one Canon 18-200mm coming out by Sept or Oct first to see which one is more better.

As you concerned, the lens of Canon should be more expensive than others. But what I saw the post from other C Hing. It cost around US$
700 which means around HK$5500. If we identified to use it while travel. Guess it's good since I am now taking a single lens 28 - 135mm when traveling.....!
