0 - 9 mths, 28mm / 35mm and 50 mm for indoor with NO FLASH, pls.

9 - 15 mths 50mm for indoor with NO FLASH. BB starts to crawl everywhere. Using 85mm if your house is very spacious OR you want to "偷拍" by 85 mm or 135mm. Otherwise, I will suggest 24-70 f2.8 with bounce flash for sure both indoor and outdoor.

* 135 mm should be more suitable for adult model shooting or "偷拍" .

15 mth - 36 mths It is not easy to photo by 定焦 lens anymore because kid likes to run non-stop. 17-40 / 16-35 and with 24-70 is the best combination. ( My son is 2 yr 8 mths and I am currently using 17-40 and 24-70 while 95% time using 24-70. The 28 and 50 are rarely used for BB shooting.)

Above 36 mths 三歲 or even 四歲, some will like to listen to you to give post. So, you may use 定焦 lens again. Otherwise, while they are playing actively, 17-40 / 16-35 and 24-70 could be the best choice.

The different lens quality could be minor. More important should be the noise control (ISO) and appropriate photoing distance without flash. Therefore, 28mm f1.8 or 50mm f.1.4 could be the best before BB can crawl and walk ; Then after crawl and walk, start to use 24-70 f.2.8 ; finally add 85 f1.8 when the kid is willing to slow down for photo.

" …支28mm f/1.8有冇Ching用過？ " == >I am still using my 28 /f1.8 which was for my 40D APS-C. Now with 5DII, I usually 17-40 for wide but not this 28mm f1.8. But for photoing near the baby crib 嬰兒床 with dim, this lens will never fail you.
