Having some free time and reading some materials on the web today. Come across this site:

What is your habit on using the VR? Do you leave it on all the time?

Coz it sounds like to me Thom claims that the VR or the IS doesn't help much to improve the image quality.

What is your say for today?

Feel free to upload your test shoot with & without VR to justify the performance of the VR system.

VR/VRII definitely help, particular with telephoto range. Actually I can see the benefit at any range over say 80mm. No doubt about it.

But I cannot get the full 4-stop benefit as claimed by VRII. I think it is my own problem, i.e. not being able to hold the camera steady enough.
