24-70 f2.8 more than $13000
睇過台灣某ching測試, 24-120 應該都有24-70 80%+既pq.
請問大家會點簡?

Of course N24-70 lar! It has a larger aperture and higher quality.

it is 2 stop faster. This make a HUGE difference in lots of shooting situation.

2.8 is a fast lens that you can use faster shutter speed to freeze movement.

f/4 is just using VR helps to make still object look sharp.


If money is not an issue, the f/2.8 is a no brainer choice.

Isn't depends what is his general usage??? I guess if the user generally taking landscape on snap shot... 24-120 have an advantage on the range....

Of course f2.8 are 2 steps ahead but how many picture you really need to freeze them on the picture?? Say if you taking sport, pets or kids all the time..

但24120也有個人之處, 個range 好用好多, 見佢出埋f4 去 抛離3.5-5.6, 我覺得nikon有心捧佢. 同意freemilk 所講, 有幾何用下下谷2.8 和快對焦呢, 我睇人啲相, 快 快門的相通常都係長焦距多...
由於我道行未夠, 如果加埋執相後, f2.8鏡同f4的鏡影出來的, 還有很大差別嗎, 師兄們請指教

24-70 2.8鏡皇係人都知, 但亦知道好多ching買左之後, 最後變左防潮箱既長期住客 -- 好多ching都話好重所以都好少用.
相對鏡皇, pq就一定冇咁好, 但機動性應該會好好多^^

Agree with Freemilk bro about the general usage of the lens.

For my purpose, a fast lens at least f2.8 makes a huge difference and giving me a much bigger advantages in wedding and low light portrait. A fast lens is critical for shooting any event photo.

But I guess the two lenses are targeting at two very different market.

If any potential buyer understand the difference between a big aperture And a VR lens, it should be a easy choice.

Coz VR are good for freezing still object and totally no use for moving object.

Hope my response somehow answer WinWin's question as well.

Btw, I saw a post in the canon forum about 70-200, very similar discussion about the f4 and f2.8.

Good choice.

The most important thing is to understand what is your real need.

As a lens is good for me might not be good choice for you. As the purpose of the usage is different. Like the 24-70 is my main lens. But as you said it might be a lens of someone inside the dry box.

The f4 is a good one if you don't need the speed.

大光圈可以加快快門,間接有埋防震.又可以涷結動作.2:1睇落梗係好過單係防震.
防震成日都話影郁既嘢冇用.其實而家啲FF機iso咁勁.差一級光圈大部份時間都可以用高一級iso去刻服.而且24-70呢個焦段用來影動態唔係咁多用.70-200mm反而F2.8緊要啲.
唔係話大光圈唔好,但如果只係平常用例如去旅行咁,冇防震的問題係在低光時好難收光圈增加景深.尤其用FF機,下下F2.8真係好多時主體都會變散景.影人還可以,影景,影前後排合照或者細件嘢例如影碟餸,影博物館展品等就會冇防震咁好用.

ching, 長時間攞多190g, 其實都唔好話唔重, 再加上有時影景真係上山下海, 輕得1g就1g.
仲有就係如果我想tele多過70, 咁我又要帶多支鏡, 咁既情況可以話一定唔只190g, 呢樣都係我考慮因素之一. 如果兩支鏡都係同焦段, 我諗都唔駛出post請教, 因為一定係鏡皇^^
我都有諗過pq問題, 但呢一刻我仲用緊dx機, 最鬆散既邊位都crop走左, 所以應該唔會差太遠^^
其實最令我困擾既係依家d鏡價, 真係有升冇跌, 今日鏡皇要$13000+, 可能過多半年要$15000+都唔定, 真係好驚唔買又貴d, 唔買又再貴d, 到想買既時候可能貴到買唔起=.="

You need more exercise and have more muscle =p

I am using two bodies D700 & D3s and two lens combo for all my wedding shoots. Not to mention about the flashes.

I am not saying you need to carry unnecessary weight, but you should shoot more with the gear, and then your hand will not feel the weight when you are getting used to it.

Sometimes technology is great and making things much easier for us. Same as the camera and lens technology, it almost leading people to forget the basic photography trinity: Shutter, Aperture & ISO

It shouldn't be a problem and VR is not something necessary for taking 影前後排合照或者細件嘢例如影碟餸,影博物館展品.

Study study & Study on different setting combination.

Also the way we stand, the way we hold the camera, even the way we is also a good "biological VR system" =p
