Just bought a Canon 8800F last week to scan the old photos and negative. Was about to get the MP988 but after some thoughts, I seldom print pictures myself, so I decided to save some bucks.

$1400 at SSP and the quality is very good, response if fast as well. Those who want to scan their oldies, this is a good accessory.
