小弟最近買左部FILM SCANNER﹐ MINOLTA DIMAGE SCAN DUAL IV﹐ 但係SCAN完出黎既效果強差人意﹐總是覺得太SOFT。
由於這是小弟第一次自己SCAN相﹐所以實在不知問題出在哪裡。 是否部機有問題﹖定係我自己在操作時有問題﹖請指教。謝謝﹗

I repeat my opinion here!

Firstly, you need to calibrate your monitor first (e.g. use adobe RGB - step by step). Secondly, check the scanning resolution, sharpness and the other setting. The enclosed software should some default setting for different film. Choose the correct setting that match your film's brand, type, ISO, serious or so.

I got the same scanner. Didn't realise the software came with it allows you to choose the film type. Could I trouble you to briefly refer me to how to get find this function, or whcih page in the manual to refer to? thanks

I don't have this scanner, so I can't tell you. Just remembered this function should be bundled in the software of this type product(several years before). May be you need to call customer services...

Whether I scan negatives or slides, a lot of photoshop work needs to be done after the scanning. For example:

- crop
- resize
- level
- color tone
- saturation
- Unsharp Mask (USM)

I do all these steps to almost all scans. The last item USM is a must do for you to get a sharp photo. USM sometimes come with your scanner software/driver but I usually turn it off and fine tune the USM in photosharp.

我自己都用緊Minolta Multi II film scaner. Scan 出黎的確係吾夠SHARP！但這是不可避免的、就算是十幾萬的Drum Scaner都一樣有咁嘅情況出現。唔信？可以看看以下的Hyper-Link.

其實只要Scan完之後在 Photoshop 或其它類似的Software 做 Sharpenning 就得。

Scan完sharp定唔sharp,同菲林表面平定唔平無關係,因菲林係透射源,色膜已决定影像質素.唔sharp有可能係scanner套software將菲林微粒"過份"打散,可以試吓將gain reduction或相關功能關掉試吓效果,或改用3nd party software做scanning.

How much is MINOLTA DIMAGE SCAN DUAL IV scanner ? I am also wanting to buy one, next month when I come to Hong Kong for holiday. Where did you buy it ?

試下SCAN果陣用手動對焦會好一點的
